PINELANDS NORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Excellent staff, motivated pupils and
participative families working together
to provide an inclusive quality education

AIM HIGH

Pinelands North Primary School provides a happy and safe yet stimulating learning environment. With a vibrant team of committed staff members, we seek to develop each child’s full potential. We encourage family involvement and value our relations with the wider community. We are proud of our excellent staff, motivated pupils and participative families who work together to provide quality education.

INCLUSIVE APPROACH
TO LEARNING

PNPS is one of only fifteen public primary schools in the country that are recognised for excellence in their inclusive approach to learning. Our capacity building model ensures that teachers and teacher aides, in collaboration with various specialists, help all children to learn more effectively.

CREATIVE AND TALENTED

Our guiding principle of inclusivity in education relates not only to children with physical and learning disabilities, but also to the brightest children. PNPS has a unique programme of enrichment and extension for children with higher ability which focuses on both academic and social skills.

ART AND MUSIC

Our school’s outstanding art department nurtures children’s creativity in surprising and colourful ways, while our music department includes a lively choir, an energetic grade 7 marimba band and tuition in a full range of instruments.

EXTRAMURAL ACTIVITIES

Our extramural activities include a wide range of sports, from water polo to multisport, and various clubs such as the Chess club and Enviro club, which has already made huge strides in ‘greening’ the school.

AFTERCARE

Housed in a brand new building our aftercare offers a caring and homely environment for children to play, do their homework and relax.

COMMUNITY PARTICIPITATION

One day a year parents and prospective parents become part of our school. They interact and assist with our children, and enjoy being back at school for a day! Other special events include ‘Readers are Leaders’ day, school fairs and school plays.
