On the move...
We deliver an efficient, reliable,
Our coverage now includes Pinelands
We currently operate a fleet of 50 meter taxis. Our vehicles are the latest models, of a good standard and are serviced regularly. All our vehicles are equipped with a taxi meter calibrated on R9 per kilometre. Our tariff is the lowest in Cape Town and we offer a 24-hour service.
Our cars are controlled from a central control room so we know where every vehicle is located at any given time. Satellite tracking in our vehicles monitors the taxis' status as well as the safety of our clients.
Excite Taxis have been operating meter cabs since 1994.
We are very selective when contracting drivers and for that reason the average age of our drivers is 45 years. It is important for us to have responsible people that are well trained and informative for our clients. Our drivers are always well dressed with a tie and white shirt.
All our vehicles are insured for passenger liability.
Excite Taxis operate from our office situated at 289 Lower Main, Observatory
Towards town we cover up to Bakoven on the Camps Bay coastline.
In the Southern Suburbs we cover a area bordered by Paradise Road, Newlands Road, Stanhope Road, Lansdowne Road, Doncaster Road (Include K.C. Shopping Centre) the M5 freeway. We also cover Pinelands and Paarden Eiland.
Other areas we cover include Sea Point, Paarden Eiland, Pinelands, Tamboerskloof, Mowbray, Salt River, Woodstock, University Estate and the city bowl.
The call centre and drivers of Excite Taxis should quote and charge customers on the meter;
a.Between points within the operating area. E.g. Trip from Kenilworth Centre to Cavendish Square should be done on the meter.
b.From points outside the operating area to points within our operating area or going the opposite direction should be done on the meter. E.g. Trip from Pinelands to the Airport should be done on the meter. Trip from Tokai to Mowbray should be done on the meter.
c. Only trips between points outside our operating area should be quoted. Such quoted price should be measured from our office/base to the client’s destination. E.g. Client going from Table View to the Airport. Measure kilometres from Base to Table View to Airport and multiply such kilometres by R9.
