About Busy Bugs

My aim is to provide a happy, safe and enriching environment in which your child can learn holistically through play. This learning will include free and imaginative play, exploration, guided educational activities, fine and gross motor games and activities, creative time, physical challenges for their growing bodies and socialising. I believe the learning experience should be a fun and enjoyable part of life, stemming from their fascination of the world around them.

Busy Bugs is a home-based, small group playschool able to offer a nurturing and emotionally secure environment. I strive to recognise and develop the uniqueness of each individual child.

Busy Bugs Playschool runs a theme based program which changes weekly. Pre-reading (listening, remembering, understanding), pre-writing (fine and gross motor skills; eye-hand co-ordination) and pre-maths (numbers; shapes; colours) skills are important for the success of a child once they reach a formal school level. These skills will be included in the weekly programs in a fun and non-threatening way.

Basic life-skills will also be incorporated into the daily program to support the parents in teaching their children manners, safety and hygiene.
