Due to its many physical and emotional benefits, yoga is growing in popularity by the day, and this shows in the many studios that spring up all around Cape Town.

AS I Am yoga is a small, welcoming yoga studio, where Ann knows every student and their specific needs. She has been teaching and studying yoga for more than 15 years and she passionately shares her valuable knowledge with her students. Contrary to the bigger, ‘trendy’ studios, we can teach in an intimate environment, and give personal attention to each student.

What can yoga do for you?

Yoga is, at the very least, the oldest form of exercise, and we can expect from all the benefits that we would from other forms of exercise. Many modern sports use yoga as inspiration, but the true, integral practice of yoga has many more benefits.

Besides giving the practitioner more strength, flexibility, structural alignment; yoga improves the proper functioning of various body systems and increases mental steadiness.

The specific breathing practices can help heal various imbalances in our body and mind, and are guaranteed to increase ones’ joy of life.
